Hair Mesotherapy

Hair mesotherapy is one of the therapeutic options available to improve alopecia.

Mesotherapy can be used to administer different types of active substances such as vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, peptides, non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid, drugs, platelet-rich plasma, etc. which are injected directly into the area where we want them to act.

The effect we seek to achieve will depend on the patient and the type of hair pathology they present.

What does the treatment consist of?

The procedure is simple. Initially, to ensure asepsis, the skin is disinfected, anaesthesia is applied and the microinjections are started in the areas of alopecia or where we want more results.

The total number of injections will depend on the area of the scalp to be treated.

Anti-androgen drugs: the most common form of alopecia among the population is androgenetic alopecia. This means that more and more specific treatments are being sought to control it.  Dutasteride is an anti-androgen drug that inhibits one of the enzymes responsible for the development of alopecia, acting effectively and with a long half-life (3-4 months), so the frequency of sessions is 2-3 times a year.

The drug is infiltrated directly into the scalp so that the drug reaches the hair root, avoiding its absorption at a systemic level and the adverse effects that this could have.

The procedure is like any other mesotherapy, after which the patient can lead a completely normal life.

This treatment can be applied to both men and women with androgenic alopecia, alone or in combination with other infiltrated or oral treatments.
